“Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the LORD. The LORD that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion.” Psalm 134:1-3
Friends of mine stand today in the dark, in the soul bitterness of midnight. In this scripture David speaks to the situation, addressing those who “by night stand in the house of the LORD.” I am thinking today of the nights that come to all of us, and during those times, we stand in the house of the LORD. Sometimes we roust ourselves out and go to the physical building; other nights we lie on our bed or writhe on the floor or kneel by our couch, but we are in the house of the LORD.
We lift our hands…and bless the LORD…in the night…Ministering angels come…and God…

My other blog is here.

I remember the long nights in prayer in San Jose. I would carry Curits (my son) when he wasn’t even a year old around with me while I prayed in the old church building.
God hears the cry in the midnight hour. Whether it is the time on the clock or a period of time in our life. God is always there! Like the old song says” Standing somewhere in the shadows you will find Him..”
